Mr. Alay Barah is the Director at ICCSPL. He leads the strategy and planning component along with overseeing the effective implementation of the organization’s initiatives. Prior to heading ICCSPL, Mr. Barah was the CEO of Reach India. With 3 decades of experience in the government and the non-profit sector, he has his expertise in strategic planning, social enterprise development, livelihood, microfinance health, agri-value chain development, participatory monitoring and evaluation and human resource development. Alay brings in inimitable skills in entrepreneurship and leadership, having worked with organizations such as Freedom from Hunger USA as Country Director, American India Foundation as Director of Livelihoods Programs, and RashtriyaGramin Vikas Nidhi as Director of Operations.
Mr. Barah has masterminded the concept of Centre of Excellence for Agriculture & Agri-allied Enterprises at Guwahati to promote and facilitate the farmer communities and to bring a green revolution through the CoE.
Alay holds a master’s degree in Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Science, Mumbai. He has served as Senior Fellow at The Institute of Policy Studies, John Hopkins University, in 2001 under its International Philanthropy Fellows Program. He was also awarded a Ford Motor Company International Fellowship in 2010 as a community leader.
She has over 18 years of work experience, which includes 6 years of working in Startup ecosystem development and incubation with a robust exposure to Government Liaisoning. She is adept at Institution Development, Incubation Process Management, Stakeholder Management, Research & Design Thinking, Content Curating, Soft Skill Coaching, Programme Management and Execution, Communications, and Partnerships. She worked on various mentoring and capacity-building programmes for institutions like IIMCIP, Assam Startup, Piramal Foundation, Digital Empowerment Foundation, ICC, Bosco Reach Out, Government Girls’ Polytechnic, Bamunimaidam, Aide et Action, International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), IIBM etc. She is a Post-Graduate in English literature from Gauhati University.
Monalisha Mushahary is the Manager of Production and Promotion. She is B.Ed. and Masters in History with over 10+ years of teaching along with experience in Market Research, monitoring, building beneficial customer relationships and working on various marketing projects. Also, a seasoned trainer on spice harvesting, tailoring, weaving, art and craft. Monalisha has experienced and adequate knowledge on brand development, promotion and design.
Pintu Prasad is a Business Acceleration Expert in ICCSPL. He coordinates the activities, Develop and execute a strategy for outreach, scouting, attracting and onboarding deserving and qualified innovative entrepreneurs, and start-ups.
Designing & managing Incubation and Acceleration programs by providing high-quality coaching and advisory support
Provide support to entrepreneurs across ideation, acceleration, investment and scale-up stage.
Prior to this, he has worked with Paramount Capital as an Investment Analyst. He has got 11 years of work experience in the development sector of BFSI, Capital market & corporate finance, with specialization in Company Research, Financial Statement Analysis, Equity research, Company valuation, Financial Modelling & Business Development.
Pintu holds PGDM with specialization in finance and holds many certifications in Finance from NISM including Investment Banking & Financial Modelling certification from The Wall Street School, New Delhi
Bachelor’s in Social work from St. Edmund’s College, shillong; Masters in Social Work with honours in Management of Development Organisations from Assam Don Bosco University .Worked for a Year as Youth Mentor & Event Planner at Don Bosco Youth Centre, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh for a year and volunteering at Jharna Foundation as Program & Intern Coordinator. Have experience in working for youth engagement, PWDs and children, women groups and tribal communities.
Ms. Purnima Tiwari works with ICCSPL in the capacity of Communication Officer. She has expertise of managing diverse set of stakeholders and creating communication strategy. Prior to ICCSPL, she has worked in the domain of Political communication both academically and professionally; a project of Emory university on Media framing of elections as Research assistant and also formulated strategy for 4 state elections as a consultant. She is a Masters in Media governance from Centre for culture, media and governance, Jamia Millia Islamia. Recently, she was selected as Internet Governance Forum Youth Ambassador 2021 under which she has promoted digital literacy amongst rural communities of Chattisgarh.”
As a senior operation professional with over 27 years of experiences, He has worked in manufacturing of food and beverages, field management of agricultural plantation crop – Tea, palm Oil and bamboo plantation & processing and & nutrition food industries. In addition to factory operation and processing, warehouses, value chain & supply chain operation is one of key role. He was associated with Government’s (both Assam & Central Govt.) sponsored infrastructural development project for bamboo artisan and entrepreneurs of Assam.
He is a graduate Engineer in Agricultural Engineering and Post Graduate Diploma (Hons)in Management (International Business). Prior to ICCSPL, he was associated with TCPL as General Manager (Plant Head) & worked in Indore Packing station in Madhya Pradesh for TATA TEA. Currently working in ICCSPL in a capacity of Business Development Manager for branding-“Satyavati”, packaging, sourcing, procurement, supply chain and marketing.
Ms. Aditi Datta works with ICCSPL in the capacity of a Senior Manager, Research & Communications. She holds an M. Phil in Political Science from the Centre of Political Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University. She has more than two decades of work experience and has worked in different capacities as researcher, campaigner, networker in the field of media, gender, police reforms amongst others. Her hobbies include reading and exploring old places in India.
Experienced in handling Accounting/Management indecently for different sector of business such as Agricultural/ Manufacturing/ Supply Chain and others. He also facilitates financing for enterprises from banks & other NBFCs. His other core areas of expertise are preparation of DPR, Project Management, Financial Planning and Liasoning with investors, banks and NBFCs.
He also has expertise in preparation of legal documents for enterprises for various compliances and has been associated with industries from the North East for the last 14 years. Currently working with ICCSPL in the capacity of Finance Specialist.
He is a Masters of Commerce (Finance) and also a Masters of Business Administration (Finance).
As both Graduate and Post Graduate in Social work, Kakoli Saharia brings her experience of working in different organization and government agencies. She holds Bachelor of Social Work from The Assam Kaziranga University, Jorhat, Assam and Masters of Social Work in Youth & Community Development from Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development, Sriperumbudur, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She has experience of extensive and rigorous fieldworks, internships during her five years of professional learning in social work. She has worked in different organizations, communities, and states all across India on different grassroots issues. She has also worked in Tribal communities, Transgender communities, and other marginalized communities in different parts of Assam and India. Her relationship with the different organizations, individuals, and institutions has enabled her to shape good networking skills and also has helped her in enhancing communication strategies.
Amitav Dutta has over 18 years of cross functional experience in areas of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development, Project Management, Strategic Business Planning, and Sales & Marketing Management. He has successfully led the North Eastern Entrepreneurship & Startup Summit (NERES) funded by North East Council (NEC) and implemented by Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship. He also implemented the North East Region Biotechnology Biotechnology Programme Management Cell (NER-BPMC) under the Department of Biotechnology, Govt of India during the initial stages. Amitav is an MBA from UQ Business School, University of Queensland and B.Sc (Agriculture) from Assam Agricultural University.
Ms. Nirju Bharali works with ICCSPL in the capacity of a Program Director. She comes with more than 20 years of work experience and extensive knowledge of working with Assam MahilaSamata Society (AMSS). She has her expertise in the areas of holistic empowerment of rural marginalized women, life skill education for adolescents, child rights and protection, institution building of women and rights, livelihood promotion, thrift and credit and proposal development, policy influencing, working with the small farmers, especially women farmers and helping them to develop their social enterprise; Nutrition security for women and child. At ICCSPL, Nirju upholds Partner and Grant Management, Resource Mobilization, Program Development, and Program Implementation.
Nirju holds a post-graduate degree in Sociology from Dibrugarh Univesity, post-graduate diplomas in Human Resource Management, and Social Welfare &Labour Welfare, and a diploma in Business Administration .
Mr. Prashant Kumar Sahooworks in the capacity of Head– Finance & Accounts at ICCSPL. He comes with two decades of practice and vast experience workingwiththe Financial Management Service Foundation (FSSF), South Asian Fund Raising Group (SAFRG) and Confederation of India Alcoholic Beverage Company (CIABC). He is an expert with numbers and thus, his areas of competencies are finalization of accounts, handling audit queries, taxation, service tax, and other related matters. Additionally, he gives consultancy services and organizes workshops for partner organizations on matters like accountancy, internal control, budgeting, governance, risk management, Income tax, and FCRA laws, etc.
Prashant holds a Master’s degree in Commerce and an MBA in Financial Management.
Ms. Garima Kaur works in the capacity of a Program Manager at ICCSPL. She has over nine years of experience of having worked extensively on children’s rights (including refugee children), mental health, and gender with various grassroots and national level organizations in the development sector. As a key team member, she has strengthened and co-led the National Foundation for India’s seeded secretariat ‘Girls Count’ (a national level coalition working to address factors leading to declining child sex ratio in the country) and facilitated its visibility and expansion among diverse stakeholders. Her skills-set includes program planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, research, and advocacy.
Garima has a Masters in Social Work from Jamia Millia Islamia. As a firm believer in furthering the cause of gender equality, she finds the issue of challenging patriarchy is closer to her heart. She is also an avid writer and strives for social change through her writings.
She has 3+ years of work experience in the field of Biotech Research and Handloom and Handicraft promotion. She has significant clinical research experience in In-vitro Hypoglycemic Evaluation, Phytochemical Assessment, Gold Nano Synthesis of Medicinal Plant and screening Cytotoxic Effect of Oxidized Cleavage Products of Carotenoids in Colon Cancer Cells. Before joining ICCo, she was associated with IQVIA, Bangalore, Karnataka. She has a good grasp of Clinical Research, Clinical Data Management (Data Validation), preparing Proposals/Concept Note, DSR for donors, Resource Mobilization for product promotion, Content Marketing and PR strategies. She has a Master Degree in Biotechnology from Bangalore University.
Mr.Sourav Mohanty works with ICCSPL in the capacity of Manager Program Finance. He has expertise in the areas of financial planning, maintaining periodical financial reports, and working closely with partners for maintaining financial records. Prior to joining ICCSPL, Sourav was associated with Ekutir Global, Analysis Publishing Pvt Ltd.
Sourav holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) in Total Quality Management from the University of Sikkim Manipal University, and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance from Ravenshaw University.
Ms. Sneha Srivastava works with ICCSPL in the capacity of Manager- Human Resource. In her current role, she is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the human resource and administrative function of the organization and serves as a link between employees and the management. She comes with 12 years of experience working with key private and development sector organizations. Her areas of expertise include recruitment and selection, employee relations, training, and development. Sneha is a fine blend of critical and analytical thinking. Sneha holds an MBA degree in Human Resource and International Business.
With a more than 25 years of work experience, he has worked with several prestigious organisations like the New Zealand Ministry of Primary Industries (Biosecuirty NZ and New Zealand Food Safety Authority), International Organic Accreditation Services (IOAS), Saudi Amoudi Group Company and Heinz Watties, Australasia. His areas of professional expertise are primary agriculture production (including greenhouse cultivation), organic agriculture, food safety, food processing and quality systems development for market access. He is a Masters of Applied Science (Horticulture Management) from Lincoln University, Christchurch; and Masters in Agricultural Science (Biotechnology) from Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat.
