Tea estate staff participated in POSH Training Program

Training on POSH and Domestic violence (DV) is currently being conducted in the tea estates for the community members and the management. ICCSPL invited a resource person from District Legal Services Authority (DLSA). The training also includes awareness on the helpline numbers. So far, about 9000 community members, management, and staff of tea gardens have been trained by ICCSPL since June under Women Safety Accelerator Fund (WSAF), IDH in the Tea estates.

Notably, ICCSPL has been covering 20 large tea estates in Assam. Till now, ICCSPL conducted training for management and staff in 8 tea estates and an awareness program has been conducted in 13 tea estates. Adolescent groups have been formed in 6 tea estates and are currently trained to perform street plays on the issue of violence against women. It is based on the script Awaz.
